It has been shown many times that the nation’s have a “boss” and is almost always unpleased with them in some way. They are shown to be separate from their government and other higher-ups.

So when representing a personified nation in Hetalia fan work, or imagining a nation in current times, just remember this:

A nation is not represented by the government.

A nation is represented by the people.

So when you create fanwork or awareness around Ferguson, world riots, or other sensitive current events, just keep in mind that;

The nation isnt hiding behind the police or the government

The nation is fighting within the crowd.

The nation is fighting for the people.

this piece was to spread awareness about the events in Ferguson, and any protest happening around the world right now. please go and educate yourself on the current events happening right now, and help in any way you can.

i was hesitant on uploading this anywhere, since i already have gotten loud messages thrown at me over at tumblr. but besides all of the thrashing concerns about this picture being immature, offensive, disrespectful, and inappropriate, i have gotten overwhelming support on how this art piece drove some to tears of happiness. it really touched me, and with this being an art piece and all, i had to upload it on here sooner or later.

just to make it clear from point 1; THIS IS A SERIOUS PIECE. I AM NOT FUCKING AROUND WHEN I MADE THIS. this was not made to make light of, to poke fun at, or to be disrespectful to the current events. i have my reasons, please hear me out.

i have already answered a lot on my captaintearoll tumblr account, and it would be much help if you read through the answered asks also. they are just as important.

also, if i feel like i need support in answering your ask, i will take a screenshot of it and post it on tumblr. not to make light to make it seem like youre a bad person, but possibly to show your concerns so that people can help me explain what im doing and why im doing it. (if ur a rude, unreasonable person, then i might just post it to show people 'cause obvious reasons-)
